MJ (Mary-Jayne) has been in China for more than seven years and speaks Mandarin.  Originally from New Zealand, MJ has loved working with the Shopping Tours team for the past few years and in 2014 she took over the business from Suzy.

MJ loves introducing our customers to the wonderful shopping on offer in Shanghai. She has a broad knowledge of fabric so she’s a great person to have by your side at the fabric market. MJ also has many fascinating stories to share of her experience living in a small city in China prior to moving to Shanghai in 2010 as part of the New Zealand Expo team.

Suzy started Shopping Tours Shanghai with Lynn in 2007 and has been taking tours ever since! Suzy has recently moved into a new business sourcing soft furnishings for overseas customers but you’ll still see her on many a shopping tour! She is a New Zealander who has been living in Shanghai for nearly nine years.

Suzy’s style is warm and friendly and her knowledge of pricing and shopping in Shanghai is comprehensive. The energy and fun Suzy brings to a day out shopping makes it a real day to remember.

Shira, our newest addition to the Shopping Tours Shanghai team, arrived in Shanghai in late 2012. It was her first time in China and she was really taken aback by this incredible city. Shira spent her first year studying at Shanghai Jiaotong University, learning to speak, read and write in Mandarin. She later went to work at an international law firm, continuing her career from Australia. Almost two years later, she had a beautiful baby boy and took a break from work.

Shira was fortunate enough to stumble upon MJ at a networking event and couldn’t resist the offer to combine two of her favourite things, shopping and touring Shanghai! Shira’s style is warm and natural and she loves showing our clients the amazing things that this city has to offer, while sharing her insights and stories about life in Shanghai.
